Wangfujing International Youth Hostel in Beijing, China

Great place, and great location. Good people and very good atmosphere at the bar. Met lots of friends there. Of the three hostels I stayed while in china crocouches seem to be everywhere but on this one I only saw one. I would recomend this place to anyone, nice place to start your holidays from. I gave 100 points for this hostel, since this is really a good place to stay in Beijing ! We really like the "Tour Information" desk in their small "Lobby", since the staff helped us for anything we need there regarding our trip, like for the information, train tickets, show tickets, etc. They also have nice cafe there, and free + fast wifi connection. first I booked a 6-bedded dorm but the matress was a thin as a towel and the room was an incredible mess. The staff never received any complaints about the matresses ... I don't believe it because who wants to sleep on a piece of plastic with a towel on top? Anyway, 4 bed dorm is of great value. Beds are big and comfortable. Great location for shopping (night market) and Forbidden City. Close to Metro. No nightlife in the area. This is a great hostel. It is in a good location near the Wangfujing shopping district. It is within walking distance of the Forbidden City and Tianamen Square. My only complaint would be its common area. It is alright, but not great. You feel like you HAVE to purchase something from the bar/resturant to be there and you can't just hang-out. The location of this place is perfect. The Subway is close and you can walk to many attractions. The staff are wonderful, incredibly helpful and go out of there way to help. English is very well spoken. Beds are comfortable and rooms and washrooms are very clean. They serve good food for a good price and they offer many great tours.
