Don´t do this to your self, if you have a little bit o more money, than you can choose a better place. Everything there you have to pay, no free wirelles no free internet, not every room has a/c, the place is dirty.

Extremely rude staff refused to honour my reservation as it apparently takes 'hours' to process bookings, even though this web site allows you to specify arrival times less than this, and advertises instant confirmations. I stayed somewhere else, but still ended up with my c/card charged, which I now have to dispute with my bank. Having read the reviews of this place as the worst of the worst in NYC, I thought the price and location were a fair trade-off. Big mistake. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

It is very nice place for students
The room I stayed at was decent.The beds are good to sleep at. There are vending machines, internet stations and paid wiifi, that is why i didn't really like overall. It's old but decent! There are many things surrounding it. West central park about three blocks. As well as metro stations and bus stops.it is profitable. It is not as bad as people said. Althought the character wasn't modern as many others, it was just different. Be aware that NYC has a lot of tax, that's scary!! I noticed at this hostel. Others like Loftel didn't seemed so taxable. Also, the bathtubes are old. it is simple, no fancy designs on the curtains (room), the lounge is only a couch. I slept well in my bed at least.

This place is pretty basic but easy walk to subway and pretty safe and secure. Only bad points were having to wait for a shower, bins weren't emptied and there were only 2 computers. Otherwise we had a comfortable stay.

This hostel was terrible. Be warned if you stay here that it is nothing like the Hostelworld website indicates. Furthermore, advrtised prices are subject to rougly a 10-20 percent tax, which is not mentioned.
