  • The only "public" transportation option to the suburb of this place is the "matatu" minivans (and taxis are not cheap). But if you want serenity and nature (like being around savannah trees and listen to a lot of different birds), the SW suburbs of Nairobi are probably the best choice. I slept incredibly good here. And this hostel is simply brilliant down to the details. To be inside the (gated) camp was a Kenya experience in itself. Very good value by Nairobi standards. Nice swimming pool.

  • My booking didn't come through, but luckely they had a dorm bed left over. Restaurant was not equipt for big groups. So the buffet was finished before we were able to get something to eat, however we booked for it.
