Achtung!! versteckte Kosten!

At first this hostel seems a little different but it is a great little place to stay. good location not far from the main nightlife and close to the train. There is a kitchen but only a microwave to cook with, and they lock it of a night which never makes sense, why have somewhere you can keep your food if you cant get to it. The staff were extremely helpful, especially in helping us find the hostel at 1am. The location was about 5 minutes away from the Reeperbahn (Red light district), which provided easy access to the bars and clubs there but at the same time didn't seem like the safest location - could be wrong about that though. It was very clean in the hostel though, great bathrooms/showers. Lockers were provided as well. Michael, from USA ~ 22nd Aug 2009

Although it is not located in the centre of Hamburg it is still very well located, because of Reeperbahn and St. Pauli just around the corner. There are only on type of rooms, 12 bed dorms, which are both tidy and spacious. Niels, from Denmark ~ 1st Aug 2009

Location just over the road from an u-bahn station (subway), aprox 5 minutes walking and youll reach Reeperbahn. The place is clean with decent toilets and great showers. Having lockers available for storing bags and a big common room with microwave oven, water boiler etc are also a big plus. My only complaint is that the staff arent that good at english. Not a bad place. Weird staffing schedule. They are only open certain hours so check ahead! Pretty clean, but somewhat plain and lacking a common room. Great kitchen, but it closes at 10PM. Since the staff leaves till the morning, some people flaunt the rules and smoke indoors! Located 4 blocks down the road from Repperbanh party district. Almost all-male population considering the party district is very close, makes sense. Just across the street from Metro/S-Bahn station. 6 blocks from Altona st mark, from USA ~ 4th Jul 2009

This is a pretty low-budget hostel. And for that, it serves its purpose. But beware - the rooms and matresses are pretty filthy. It's got nice showers and changing rooms, however. Basically this is a hostel for those looking to party all night and then come back to just crash. Bring your own linens, for sure. Ryan, from USA ~ 19th Jun 2009

While the staff is nice, you can't always count on someone being at the service desk. Andrea, from USA ~ 29th May 2009
