  • Great hostel with a great location, and cheapest hostel around! The staff are great to work with, too. Included is a basic breakfast, luggage storage, and they even have tours that pick you up from the hostel itself--all convenient. The showers can run a bit hot (or, in the case of having a controlled temp shower, the knobs were opposite of what they should have been), but they're fixing that now. Your only troubles will likely be needing a pair of ear plugs for the occasional snorer.

  • A friendly place. Clean room. Self catering kitchen had most things for warming up food, making lots of free toast (with jam) and endless mugs of tea.

  • I didn't love the cleanliness and I didn't really want to touch anything including the bathrooms. I think this was the place where we could feel all of the wires in the beds, and the noise from the street outside made it difficult to relax and sleep. Otherwise, if you can look past all of that it was a fine hostel, where we managed to rest and get enough sleep.

  • Very good location, near everything. No privacy on shower, glass doors on a mixed shared bathroom.

  • I was in Woodquay Hostel 4 days, last month. It was amazing!! I really felt at home. It's the oldest hostel in Galway! It's clean, confortable and people who works where are good people. I hope to go back early, all the best for Julie and Melania. Hugs !

  • The experience was a total disaster! At night there is no place in the hostel to have a chat or whatever with friends, dirty bathrooms and we have to share the room with a drunk guy who woke up several times in the middle of the night, snored and finished walking naked in the room.

  • We stayed in a double room, which was very small, but clean and quiet. there´s a big kitchen, which can be used by the guests and a common room with tv. the staff was very friendly. There was a light breakfast included. The facilities werre clean. The hostel is located near the city centre, so there are just a few minutes to walk. So, we enjoyed our stay.
