Hostel's location was just great as the staff, they were always very helpful. In general we enjoyed our stay a lot. By just a few changes the experience could have been even better. The overall cleanliness wasn't too good. Our room was dusty and the bed linen were full of dirty black spots. I believe they've been washed but if the spots don't disappear when washed, the linen should be replaced. Also the mattrasses were horrible and IKEA furniture not very qualified. A great location. Because it's situated between two of the most important neighberhoods in Instanbul, the hostel has a lot going for it. The breakfast was also real nice (really good olives). Aside from that the only draw back is the morning call as the hostel is located directly next to the loud speakers. Other than that friendly staff, good location, good times. Istanbul rocks. The place is really nice and clean. Rooms are big enough. The location is perfect for shopping and going out in the evenings. Bars, restaurants and pubs just a minute away. The Galata Bridge is a 10 Minute walk away, all the other tourist-destinations (hagia sophia, blue mosque) up to 30 minutes walk or you take the tram. One original and remarkable thing: there's a mosque right beside the hostel, so be prepared for the 5 a.m. prayer, that will wake you up and the nice and decent voice of the Marta, from Germany ~ 7th Apr 2009
