One of the best hostels we've stayed at so far. Free breakfast, internet and wine all massive bonuses and the staff were always up for a laugh.

Long timers make things difficult by playing regular poker games at dinner time - from 5pm on the kitchen table so there is nowhere to eat your food apart from on your lap in the sitting room which is invariably full!

I felt like I was back in school, the other guess where so clicky together, we had no welcome and just got stared as we went past no smiles or anything. Room was ok, bit dark and dingy though.

Didn't really like this place, a bit of a trek up a hill from central wellington. Was full of long term residents/teenagers when i stayed who pretty much kept to their established groups.

very nice hostel, staff are a bit funny, we found them a little odd, but basically nice and helpful. rooms are beautifully decorated. free breakfast is very early 7.45 - 9.00 only and free wine wasn't the nicest but the thought was there! i would stay there again. if you can afford it, it's worth going for a double room, the beds are lovely

Great hostel, one of the best in NZ - staff go out of their way to help, we had a double room which was really, really nice, better than a lot of hotel's we've been to, and at a price which is average for NZ. Thanks!
