This was a very nice place with a very friendly and helpful staff...with one big problem: it really wasn't all that clean! The shower drain in our room did not have a J-trap installed, the practical effect being that the room smelled like the sewer which the shower pipe runs into. It smelled terrible in there. Also, the water did not drain very well off the shower floor down the drain, and there were lots of little ants running everywhere on the floor in the room. But I hate to say anything negative, because they were so accommodating in every other respect and the place was so nice. It might have just been the one room we were in.

WOW! Hostel was fun, very very very well made (Can't really explain this... like outside terasse but inside?) I was traveling with my mom (summer holiday, I live in China, she was visiting) And clearly this is THE best hostel I've seen in China. Generally clean, fun evening events (make your own dumpling party,BBQ evening with live band, ect) Genious little restaurant with foreign and local dishes, staff that all speak English, very welcoming, you definitively should concider!

The rooms and the bathrooms were clean, but everywhere was a funky smell. This could be explained by the dog. But if you overlook this, it is a good location to stay.

When we booked the hostel, we were sure to book a 4 bed room with AC. But when we arrived, they gave us a dorm in the basement without window and AC. At least we could change the room to a 6 bed dorm. They gave us the impression, that they tout their customers like this, because in the description was definitely clear, that the rooms have AC. One of the guests how stayed in our room left early in the morning. The stuff entered the room as well early, while we were still sleeping to change the bed linen, even if we wanted to leave at the same morning! The hostel it self is very nice and it could be a great place to spend the night if the stuff could be a little bit more capable and less tricky.

We only stayed for one night but definitely would have liked to stay for more. Good party atmos, plenty of facilities (ping pong, pool, DVD room etc). Great menu, great communal area. Rooms comfortable and clean and good shower facilities. All in all very good. Patrick (the American guy) is a wealth of knowledge and very very helpful.
