GREAT place. Clean and super freindly. The location was great also, seeing as it's so near to the University. I will definately be telling my friends to try and book here when travelling to/through Xiamen (and I have many who will).

Great location, easy access to bus routes. The staff were helpful and kind. We stayed for one week and the hostel staff never cleaned the room or changed the sheets. We had to ask for clean sheets and toilet paper. The Chinese breakfast was inconsistent and cold.

This was a great place to stay. The scene was a little quiet, but it was also winter/slow season. I think if it were summer and full, the place would be perfect. Great location, close to shopping, food, sights, etc., but still away from downtown. We had a question about a missing bag, but the electronic security was great. They helped us solve the problem right away, as it was actually lost in a taxi. Always take a receipt from the taxis...just in case. The staff were very helpful.

I think the location of the place was great because it was easy access to the bus station and it was easy to get around. The coffee shop close to the hostel was a great place to hang out. Two things should be addressed in your information. One, that there are no western toilets and that there are mixed bathrooms. I don't remember reading either these things in information about your hostel. Also, it should be mentioned that you cannot count this hostel toward your membership. I wanted to get my book stamped, but was told that they didn't have a stamp to stamp my book. thanks tj rodriguez

Not exactly right across from the University gate as indicated, but not far from it. The settings are very nice and there are bountiful food options and shopping around. Recommend the strawberries coated in sugar. Transportation is simple and straightforward.
