I was very supressed by being contacted by the hostel before my arrival to arrange a free pick-up from the airport. Already very pleased I arrived in one of the nicest hostels I have ever stayed should I ever stay in Xian again, I will definitly stay there again! Michael, from Austria ~ 3rd Feb 2012

The toilet and drains in the bathroom in our first bedroom got blocked twice. We had to get it pumped. After a shower, the water didn't drain away. WE then went to a second room. The toilet was better but the shower drain was blocked as well. The first room was very warm, but the second room wasn't.The owner was quite unfriendly which was a shame. The reception staff were very helpful. We did find a piece of plastic in a sandwich we ordered. Lucy, from England ~ 28th Jan 2012

We really had a good time in Xi'An and in Xiangzimen Hostel. Great atmosphere and very nice staff, very helpfull and friendly. A special thanks to Richard, who got us in the train station and helped us anytime we needed. Maria, from Portugal ~ 7th Jan 2012

We had a great experience in this hostel. Everything was perfect. The rooms, the location, the atmosphere and the staff. Especially Richard, who picked us up from the train station after he had waited there for two hours. He was also very helpfull with showing us our way in Xi'an. Highly recommended!!! The hostel is clean and the rooms are nice. The location is good - just inside the south wall of the city.It is approx 20 min walk from the airport shuttle drop off and a 5 min walk from the nearest city bus.It is over an hour walk to the train station - take the 601 bus from the train station and you will be there in 15mins. The staff is neither unhelpful or helpful, they are just kind of there. The entire atmosphere is kind of detached. It is a fine place to stay for a night or two if you want t Timothy, from USA ~ 21st Nov 2011

The location of this hostel is perfect, near the south gate of xi'an and near the bar street and restaurants.. The bar is very nice!! Their breakfasts are good! And the dog is so so cute!!! The hostel and bar are nice decorated and everything looks very nice. The rooms are ok. I had a room with private bathroom. The bed was very good! But the room was not very clean when I arrived.. Not very dirty, but could be cleaner.. There was water under the wooden floor next to the bathroom.. Patricia Denise, from Netherlands ~ 5th Nov 2011

The hostel was very nice at first. After we missed our train to the next destination, we came back to the hostel and saw 'the real face' of the hostel. They told us they don't have any free beds in dorms (altought they had) and have only double beds rooms - just to get more money from us. after we booked another hostel online (York hostel) we discovered that it was a scam and it was just a poor way to get a higher rate in hostel.com and more money from travelers. After we booked the room, th Amit, from Israel ~ 16th Nov 2011

Everyone was really helpful at the hostel. The early mornin pick up from the train was great! The owner made a special point to come and ask us how everything was going which we thought was really nice. I would stay here again. Mary, from USA ~ 3rd Nov 2011

The staff is extremely friendly. 1 of the best hostels we stayed in for the past 4 weeks in China !! The only small remark, is that both of their WiFi-networks are not really stable, nor strong. Highly Recommended !! Bart, from Belgium ~ 25th Oct 2011
