- “ Very nice hostel, great location next to the south wall and a direct bus to the train station. Staff very pleasant but make sure you ask for your free beer when you check in as they don't offer it! Even when hostel websites showed no availability the hostel did still have dorm beds available. Great atmosphere in the bar and lounge areas. ”

- “ Had to wait for 5 hours before I could get in my room. They picked me up at the train station so they were aware of my early arrival. Had to ask the reception if my bed was ready multiple times and they promised to call me when I could get in. They never did. Showers could be more clean but were okay. Xi'an itself is not an exciting city. The terracotta wariors were nice to see, but I expected more of them. ”

- “ We had a good stay at Xiangzimen. The rooms were clean and it was no problem to book an extra night. The staff was helpful but wouldn't help us to buy train tickets when I asked. Later on I overheard a staffmember say to another guest that they could help him buy traintickets for a handling fee of 60 Yuan. So there's room for improvement there. The menu of the bar is a disappointment, they barely have Chinese food, it's all pizza and burgers. But then again, there are lots of restaurants nearby! ”

- “ The hostel is good, and good staff as well, but 2 annoying things: 1. No absolute hour to checkin. You can sleep in your room and on 8am the cleaning lady will come in and start to makeup the beds. New guests can enter during early morning hours, and make noise. 2. The common showers really need to be renewed! Very smelly, rusty and no ventilation. In total, it might be good to spend one night, not more... ”
