Beds were comfortable, room was big and the breakfats was amazing. Durring the booking procedure it did not turned out that I should have a YHA membership, so I had to pay extra £3 per day. It is like a cheap hotel, but it is expensive for a hostel. Bernadett, from Hungary ~ 19th Nov 2009

Staff was average for me because I didn't really need them coz everything was okay though a few times I went to the reception they were really nice (escp the 'rasta' girl) I choose average too in the Fun table coz we went out everytime so I don't know if it's cool (but there are many goods stuffs) PETER, from Hungary ~ 19th Aug 2009

Stayed at Bristol YHA for the Comic Expo at the weekend. We couldn't have hoped for a better place to stay. Place was amazing - clean, great character, friendly staff, brilliant service, fab location and fantastic breakfast in the morning. Will definitely stay there again. BEST hostel I have ever stayed in! The hostel looks AMAZING after the renos and would rate it a "5 star" hostel if there is such a rating. The staff were fantastic and exremely helpful(Scott the chef & Lucy at front desk were the standouts)...willing to do whatever it takes to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. Restaurant was the icing on the cake..most amazing buffet style breakfast (eggs, sausage, fruit, cereal, etc), The burger was top 2 I have ever tasted!
