nothing special. it's beside the lake so it's a good thing as u can just walk over and seee the lake. however, i think it mihgt not be that convenient if you are not driving there.

Although the staff was friendly and the food in the restaurant was good there was a lot of negative that made our stay not quite as enjoyable as we had hoped. There was a crack above the door to our room and the only thing done to stop the leaks was to place a pot under it. There is a game room at the hostel but I couldn't spend more than 5 minutes in it because I am allergic to mold. In order to get any where you must either bring a car or walk for log distance, for example we had to walk with our bags from town to the hostel. Finally the hostel itself seem to be pretty dead and over all lacking in youths.

Good family place. If planning to hike to scafell pike, then this is not the perfect location. Also if using GPS, it takes you from the ferry, so it will be good idea to select "avoid ferry" in your sat nav.
