A lot of troubles in a first room (not possible to open the door, light doesn't work, no real curtain...) but after asking the security man (who opened the door), I finally got an other room clean and where everything works!

the location is quite good, but it is such a terrible experience staying there!!! The room settings are like student dorms, and the most importantly, no wi-fi! The staff treated us very bad!! There are only public computers there and it blocks most of the websites (no facebook...), and it only open monday to friday till 1030pm. my suggestion is do not stay there!!!

I recommend this hostel because:
1. It is cheap compared to other hostels.
2. It is just one block away from the subway station in the Green Line and just 10 or 15 minutes to the downton.
3. The room was clean, towels, soaps and blankets included.
4. Has a jacuzzi and gym that we never used.
5. The door is open 24/7 and there is a security guard in the night.
6. I loved Boston, it is awesome!

If only a place to stay for the night is you need, then this hostel does the job well. Location is great. Just few minutes away from Prudential center, which has lots of thing to see and do. Subway station is 100 meters away, and that takes you anywhere you need. Northeastern University is next door, so that makes sure there is lots of services right at the doorstep.
The hostel has no wlan internet, which is a big minus. There is a internet room downstairs, but if you need your own computer,

We only stayed one night at the YMCA so the lack of caracter of the room didn't matter too much to us. We stayed in a double room which was 2 inflated matresses one on top of each other. Other than that and a desk dont expect much. There was a lot of noise coming from the renovation next door but otherwise it was pretty calm inside the building. 24hour security desk with friendly guard. Very friendly and helpful receptionist. Directly next to the subway.Fairly cleanbathroom and sheets.
