The atmosphere in the hostel is good and family like. You will get to know the other guests at breakfast and dinner. You will surely get a good deal, if you let them help you to arrange tours or personal guides. The hostel is a little too far away from the center. The room isn't the best. The room we lived in was very steamy.

The family there was absolutely amazing. The offer all kinds of classes and go out of there way to make sure you have everything you need. The place is a little tricky to find, but that just means it out of the hustle and bustle of the city. Looking out our bedroom window was just mountains and trees. Down below were the locals washing there clothes in the outdoor washing basin. The Yangshuo Culture house gives you a better perspective on Chinese life. The food there is spectacular. We stayed an extra day just to have another meal. All the other guests were great people. It was an amazing place, words can't give it justice. I would go back in a heart beat. I can even call Yangshuo and the Yanshuo cultural house my favorite place in the world!

Awesome place. The location isn't great, but it's good enough. You get to see what China is really like and the food is excellent (breakfast and dinner is included). If you go to Yangshuo, you have to stay at this hostel.

Though just a bit away from the village it turned out to be an excellant location away from the clubs and noise. It is very easy to reach town and the river either by a half hour walk, moped taxi, or a bus. Dinners and breakfasts are free and amazing! THe family is so kind and willing to help out with anything. Wei will help you book trips and get you tickets for much cheaper than you would normally pay. I would definiatly go back. Kate U.S.A.

An absolutely incredible experience! I would recommend to anybody looking for a quiet getaway. Mr Wei, the caretaker, is incredibly hospitable and seems to be connected to everybody you'd need to know to make a tour reservation.

This place is amazing. The owner will teach you how to playa chinese game, how to write, how to cook....every day there's somenthing different to learn. Very nice rooms, very nice staff. The FOOD is awesome ! You have breakfast and dinner included and if you are at home also lunch. Only few minutes from the main street and near the bicycle rental. GREAT PLACE to meet people.
