great place to go, considering it is only in a decent city. not too far from bars, museum, monuments, gardens, etc., but it is not very close either. brussels is small though, so it is not as imperative. the staff are all great, but what makes this place great is the exceptional lobby/ bar area inside the hostel. you can meet people very well there and team up with people very easily. well recommended. Nice place, I liked the way the dorms were split up into two levels. It was quiet and spacious, which was perfect for me as I wasn't looking for a party hostel. Slightly marred by a receptionist who looked at me as if I was an idiot for asking questions or getting things wrong. I would stay again and recommend it to friends. The lobby smelled HORRIBLE. I looked around to see if someone had tracked dog poop in on their shoes, because that's exactly what the entire floor smells like. Showers, as many have said, are terrible. Not only do you have to continuously push the button for water, but the water comes out in a fine mist,not nearly enough to shower, and there is no temperature control.
