Staff was non-responsive to people waiting to be served at the front desk. They would notice the person, but would not make any attempt to get their lazy bum out of the chair to help. Read Owner Comments hugh, from USA ~ 22nd Dec 2011

The rooms had lockers with keys, but you couldn't check into them until 1pm. So, we arrived with all of our things to find that the available lockers in the luggage storage area required your own personal lock. The information page should remind you to bring a lock. Also, the advertised prices are not accurate if you are not a YHI member. We had to pay 6 fr. extra per person per night. Damon, from USA ~ 29th Oct 2011

This is an excellent place for families or short stop-through travelers.It is called a youthhostel, but it is really not a typical european hostel.There were families with small children and a tour bus of 13-17 year olds.I am a solo traveller of 25 years old and I use hostels as an opportunity to meet people in my age group.This hostel did not help me in that way.Great breakfast.Extremely clean.Location was not central but a 2 minute walk to the bus stop. I arrived before check in at 1 PM and, despite the fact that the secretary was there the whole time doing nothing, she made us wait an hour to check in. There was nothing to do in the area and the hostel was very deserted so we were forced to do nothing while we waited. When we finally checked in they informed us that we owed 6 or 7 extra francs per night because we were not youth hostel members. The women working the counter here were very friendly and patient with me and all of the people I saw them interact with. The environment of the hostile was a bit sterile, very similar to a college dormitory, but the beds were comfy and the bathrooms clean. Wifi only worked in the common spaces downstairs.
