Zackry Guest House in Linz, Malaysia

Bed was really noisy...you will be awake by every turn. Location is nice, but more for people, who looking for relaxing days.

Unfortunately our bed frames have certain weight limit and size limit hence anything beyond those limits will obviously caused inconveniences.

If you buy the Snorkeling trip here from a male staff whose name is Sam, he will charge you RM 90 more for exactly the same thing! And RM 5 more for the island hopping trip. Really don't like this guy.

There are 3 operators for the snorkeling trip in Langkawi with various prices ranged from RM160 - 340 depends on facilites offered and this is explained thoroughly to guests. We use operator with the rate of RM190 (is still cheaper than book online directly to operator of RM250). This is the same with the island hoping trip as there are tens of operator with the price ranging from RM20 - RM45 depends on the number of guests and facilities provided. Our rate is RM30 including pick up service. Again, all are clearly explained. However pax did not book through us or Sam - our staff - so we did not really understand the nature of the grouses.

The place is totally recommendable. It´s just 5 min away from beach by walk, staff is extremely friendly, they will help you out with anything you need, even renting a van to so you the island with no benefit for them. Really nice place with a "family feel" Located near big tourist street with all basic services, but still far enough from it to have chilled time. Friendly and helpfull staff. Zackry Guest house, is a truly fantastic place for any traveler looking to make some friends and have a good time... The bar man / Chef Sam was nothing but kind to everyone and helped organize day trips (Snorkeling, cable caring, Fishing days) and in house evens (Poker Nights, Euro contest style sing along and 50 person buffet meals) Fantastic Man. It's a peaceful place, so you can have a good sleep if you want to. But we also had nice time in common areas! Staff is nice and helpful too. This place was very nice, I would definitely recommend it to all backpackers!! :) Annika, from Finland ~ 4th Dec 2011
