Bed was perfect, staff was very sympathic. Calm and guests are also very interesting... Moreover, Zebra Hostel is well situated and there are flexible hours for the check out, the check in and we can come back whenever you want !! While the location is quite good, one will be surprised what they find when booking a 4-bed dorm. The hostel does not have rooms per- se, but rather a huge hall, with semi walls in the middle, meaning all rooms are connected. So really you share a floor with 60 people and not a room with 6. Not even doors are installed, but only curtains!!! It is very loud, privacy not given and literally everybody can just walk into your room. Carolin, from Germany ~ 18th Apr 2012

I wish I had spent more nights here than at another hostel! Staff were lovely and super helpful, other tenants were quiet (silence in rooms after 12), we played ping pong for ages in a spur of the moment mini-tournament and watched humorous music videos at the bar until 2am. Also met a super-cute Argentinian that was way out of my league! Only complaint, I dropped a glove under my bed and it came out dirty, but everywhere else was super clean. It was just 15minutes walk from DUOMO the heart of the city. Unique facilities and cute character of Zebra wrist-band were my favorite. Including breakfast is keeping up high cost performance. However I have to inform about the luck of concerning of the security. There was no door and the wall which separating two rooms were so thin,that the private was almost nothing. Generally speaking Zebra Hostel is a great place to stay, when planning a trip to Milan. It is located close to the centre and all parts of the city can be reached easily by several means of transport (tram - around the corner, bus - in front of the hostel, metro - 5 minutes walk away). The common area is nice and rather big and the beds are comfortable and ecquipped with proper duvets. Excellent common room, a lot of facilities and well set-up. Noise travels quite badly in the rooms (probably due to the walls that don't reach the ceiling) but I had pre-read reviews on hostels.com and was prepared for the worst - honestly, better than expected.
