This place is amazing. We had such a great time it's hard to describe. Bob and all the staff are so friendly and helpful, going out of their way to make our stay better. It made our trip to Pingyao unforgettable. We would go back to Pingyao just to stay there again. To Bob and everyone there: Great job, keep up the good work!!!
This was a brilliant hostel with extremely friendly staff - we felt very welcome and at home. The food could have been better - though this was compensated by the friendly atmosphere. We would highly recommend this hostel to anyone who are going to Pingyao and we will definitely return.
I was starting to think that China didn't understand hostels. Zhengjia proved me wrong! Ticks every box with extremely helpful staff, a nice ambience and super facilities. I'd recommend it to all going to pingyao.

This place is excellent. The manager really went out of his way to help us get tickets from Pingyao to Beijing. Really nice place, the staff are great and Mary is lovely! Would definitely stay here again!
The location is great - off the main street so it\'s a little quieter but enough in the main area to be fun - also inside the \'no motor vehicles\' zone which is really important. Bob here (who speaks great English) was extremely helpful in getting train tickets from Pingyao to Beijing which saved a lot of hassle of going first to Taiyuan, he also helped us with information about going to other places (Qiao family house and Wang family house). Of course they have great food (Chinese and Western) and the extras - free internet, wireless, etc.

We had a very nice stay in this friendly hostel. The manager, Bob, went out of his way to help us book tickets for our next stop. In all the hostel is very cosey, with big and fine rooms - with a traditional (an very big) beds. We can definantly recommend this hostel to everyone!
The location is perfect. The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful and speak very good English. The room was of a very high standard and cleaned daily as were the lovely communal areas. It was all in a really tastful tradional style and we loved it so much we decided to stay longer than originally planned. Would definitely recommend Zhengjia. 110%!!
Beautiful traditional chinese hostel. Double room was great. The staff were helpful and friendly.Free internet and CD burning. Free pick up and drop off at the train station.
