- “ Good location, very good value for money, but the staff is very unfriendly! They gave me a hard time because they haven't seen that I had made a reservation online.. and the key for the dorm works for all the rooms, which isn't very nice.. ”

- “ one of the best hostels i've ever been to! the desk clerk forgot so send somebody to pick me up from the train station, but he was apologizing all the time, offering me free breakfast and water. the hostel is very clean, except for the showers, they could be better. it's a nice atmosphere and i would recommend it to anybody, who wants to visit pingyao, i think you can't do better. ”

- “ Every hostel in Pingyao has an "excellent" location - they are all in the center of old town. We have stayed at many hostels all over the world and many in China. The positive about this hostel is that it has clean rooms that have character and are well maintained. The negatives are twofold. 1) The staff is TERRIBLE! None of them smile, they all seem burdened to answer a simple question like, "can we order food here?" and mostly they stand around and use the computers to watch videos with their loc ”

- “ The location of the hostel is great. The staff could improve, because when sitting at the bar/restaurant it took a while before they even noticed me. Showers could improve, but are okay. I booked a 12-bed dorm but got a 4-bed dorm, which was pretty nice. For Pingyao, only one day is enough to visit the whole ancient city. I stayed two days, one night and after the first day, I saw most of it, so my second day I just repeated most of my first day activities. ”

- “ Great atmosphere in a traditional courtyard home. Friendly staff, especially the boss who is extremely helpful. Bed is huge. Meals are good, beer is cheap, and they help with trips too. ”
