The location was excellent close to most train or bus lines to get where you want to. It is also easy to get to when you are arriving to Kyoto. The only downside to the hostel would be the fact that the only showers are in the first floor. Other than that the good outweighed the bad. Esteban, from Chile ~ 6th Feb 2012

Staff were very friendly, general atmosphere at the hostel was pleasant. Within walking distance of many popular shrines, famous Gion district, night club areas, geisha areas, and shopping district. Reasonably clean. I will stay here again. Sarah, from Australia ~ 30th Nov 2011

Very basic hostel. Outdoor was allways open even if there was no staff around. Staff was ok, but they didn't communicate with us much (like say hello etc.) Bathrooms light is very well hidden and there wasn't any dressingroom (so you had to dress/undress your clothes in the shower or in front of everybody.)
