Kind of a party hostel, good for probably meeting lots of other travelers. It had lots of pot leaf decor, and trendy images, but not really what i was looking for after a long week of traveling. I mostly wanted a place to rest and relax and it was a bit too much in my state of mind. I was also unimpressed with the g-string hanging from some of the light fixtures in the common area. It was also a bit of a pain to get to, all i had was the JR pass, and it took forever to take the subway/bus to Kyo tina, from USA ~ 25th Sep 2009

Good hostel in very good location. Tray to take room with no view at the river - the closest street is very noisy. But generally nice place with nice staff :) I had a good time there. Alicja, from Poland ~ 17th Sep 2009

This was by far the best hostel we stayed at in Japan-we extended our stay an extra 3 nights. Sachi and Yugo are awesome!!! The location is great, the people are very helpful and it is very clean. Right next to the downtown area and many bus stops/ metro near by. We loved Kyoto and this hostel was definitely part of it! Thanks! Jack, from USA ~ 25th Jun 2009
