Unfortunately we were unable to stay as hostels.com had according to bAKpAK hostel, had incorrectly advertised our room and therefore we had paid for a room which did not have what was stated (ie, paid for a private ensuite and the hostel does not have any rooms with that available). The staff there though was extremely helpful though upon our arrival to find us alternate accomodation elsewhere. I have not received a refund of my deposit though despite the misleading information provided on the Michelle, from Australia ~ 12th Nov 2009

Room and sheets had a funky smell. Other than that-location was very good (you see the sign on the right as soon as you get off the subway.) Also subway stop is only about a stop or two away from kyoto city. All in all- it's good place if you need a place to crash the night. Well placed, security is good. We stayed in a double room the room was large, however the bed was every small ( 3/4 size) and we could feel every spring in the bed, if your after a private room stay at a hotel, it costs the same and it will have its own bath room and a larger bed. Kelly, from Australia ~ 28th Sep 2009

We stayed for a weekend and we had such an amazing time. The room was great, the location couldnt be better and the staff were as helpful as they could have possibly been. Were heading back to Kyoto soon and will definitely stay in teh same place. David, from England ~ 30th Jun 2009
