good location, right next to beijing rail station and only 2 yuan on the subway to get anywhere in beijing. when you get off the bus or train at the station dont get tricked into getting a taxi, it is only 2-3 mins walk from the station. very helpful staff. had a 4 man room to myself for 4 nights, but it was in november.

it's hard to find it. the hostel is actually a very small one between Marriot hotel and another medium size hotel,with a Chinese name of "天堂陽光..."

We simply could not find the place with directions provided, not even those who lived in the city could tell us where it was. I speak a little Chinese and the situation was very difficult, it would be impossible for someone without any Chinese to even try and find this place, we ended up booking somewhere else.

The Happy House is a newly opened place (within the last month) so it wasn't growded at all. I booked a 4 people room for 4 nights and didn't have one person stay in the room with me during my whole stay. It looked and felt more like a hotel then a hostel, but it wants to gain the atmosphere and popularity of feeling more like a hostel and are doing things to change more to a hostel. There was no storage in the rooms for valuables, but I felt extremely safe there. The location is only a few
