I would like to post a rating at Salta Backpackers Hostel, and I didn't receive an email asking for a review....
I had a great time there, but mostly because the other travellers were lots of fun.
I also had some problems..
First of all, the hostel has 3 locations in the city, and although I booked at the one with the pool, I wasn't booked in THAT location when I got there! There were alot of dishonest dealings at the front desk, like the 2 guys who arrived after me got to stay at the pool location, and I was bumped to the 20 min away location..even though I'd booked ahead, and they had just arrived!!
Then later in the day they offered me the chance to move back, since they'd had a sudden cancellation...but I just received my mastercard statement upon returning home, and they have charged me over 200.00 US for my 3 night stay! Instead of 60 dollars!!
So I would say, NEVER STAY AT THIS HOSTEL unless you're feeling RICH!!

Hi, slightly off topic, I'm afraid, but still rating related . . . i was interested to note that despite my giving a hostel I rated the worst rating in each category, it still came up with a 20% score. Surely this should be 0%?

I would like to share this story with all the travellers to try and protect them from getting ripped off and mistreated at the Harrison Hostel in Miami.

I had booked my stay there online a month and a half in advance, and came to Miami ready for a great vacation. But when I got to the Hostel, the owners refused to honor the price of the booking, saying it WAS TOO LOW!!!!!! I have never seen anyone doing such dirty business, I vame all the way form Europe counting on the booking, and now they said I cannot stay there unless I paid twice as much as I booked my stay for! Of course, since I budgeted for that stay , I could not pay more, and I had nowhere else to go, but nevertheless, the owners called the police and had me TAKEN OUT OF THE HOSTEL by three gruesome looking police officers, that was the most ugly kind of mistreatment I had ever experienced. Folks, if you want to have a great vacation without having to argue about the price of your advance booking, take your business to honest people in other hostel, because this one does dodgy things, and you have no guarantee that you won`t be put in jail, just because the owners think the price you booked the stay for is too low! I hope they feel sorry for themselves once in a while, I am feeling sorry for them and for their ways of treating cutomers!

This place was a home away from home ! The staff were great there was a friendly atmosphere and a real willingness to assist the travellers ! I find it frustrating when people pick on the little things and for a budget accom i think this place was great ! If u want 5 star then maybee the Hilton is for you ! if tou want happy times and good company in a really central location then look no further ! Daniel Johns Carpenter and Traveller !
