AAE 11th Avenue Hostel in , Amerika

well. the woman who checked me in was very nice and helpful. the people on the desk the next day were kind of angry and weird though. there was someone else sleeping in my bed. even though this was presumably their mistake, they got really uptight at him even though he was suffering from concussion. all I can say is I'm glad I wasn't on the receiving end of their ire. the kitchen is pretty bare bones also. it is an old building that needs to be renovate. location is the main deal. the area is too noisy and the windows don't isolate the noise. area is lonely during the night, if you are a young woman traveling in solo better to find a more secure area were to stay. i chose this because location near the museums and the 16th st but changed next day.. too noisy street and didn't feel safe walking around after dark Maria, from Venezuela ~ 23rd Nov 2012

It just takes 10-15 minutes to walk to 16th street, the main street. But you have to go by a creepy park. Its creepy in the nights and days. The staff was nice and the bedrooms were okay. Very friendly staff, it was a busy hostel making it the perfect place to meet other backpackers especially if you're travelling solo. I would definitely recommend this place. It's better than most hotels, very good atmosphere. Y, from England ~ 13th Sep 2012
