Actually I hoped for better things. But was a little bit disappointed especially after I'd stayed in some other hostels around US. Although for the unknown reason I was upgraded to the double suite instead of previously ordered 8-Bed Dorm for the same price. That was nice) Although it was located right next to the washing machine which was operated daily mainly before my sleep( The worst thing was no breakfast aside from coffee\tea plus pancakes 'to-be-done-by-me' for which I didn't have ti Yuliya, from Ukraine ~ 28th May 2012

I spent a week at this hostel and absolutly loved it. Tatiyana and Mike are amazing hosts. All the people that stayed there were fun, there always bbqing and socializing going outside. I had a wonderful time and would go back. This hostel is for backpackers, so if you are not use to that type of environment, it is probrably not for you. Kara, from Canada ~ 12th May 2012

The Bourbon House was more than a place to stay, it was an experience! Friendly and helpful staff, great atmosphere, good location (walking distance to a lot of attractions), great mix of guests. My trip to New Orleans could have ended up being just fine with me staying at a local hotel or guest house. However, I am a staunch believer that surrounding oneself with the proper company can enhance an already great experience into something transcendent. In this regard, the folks at the AAE Bourbon House knocked it out of the park. Without going into the minutia of the details as far as the basics go (which were all taken care of swimmingly), the true charm of this place came from the at Eduardo, from Chile ~ 1st May 2012

Your hostel is clean and warm, there are sufficient number of bathrooms, the bathrooms are also clean, the internet-capable computer is a life-saver, and the outdoor patio is really inviting and relaxing. The community of people who come to your hostel is wonderful they tend to be young and talkative travelers. This is a wonderful hostel ran by a husband and wife team with others. They all go beyond the standard duty to make sure everyone is happy.
