Nice hostel, kind of in the middle of nowhere (you need a car to reach it not good for travelers staying in the town of Fort William w.out personal transportation). You can tell it's a winter haven, it feels like a ski lodge and is cozy. Absolutely no security options, though I don't know that you need them bc you're in the middle of nowhere no keys or codes are given at all. Nice place to stay, but there are few resources in walking distance (or driving for that matter) so just be aware.

Hi and thank you for your comment. I do not think we are in the middle of nowhere. We are only 15 miles from Fort William, 5 miles from Spean Bridge and two miles from Roy Bridge. All these places have shops. We also pick people off the bus or train in Roy Bridge where you can get to from Fort William by public transport. We do have quite a lot of security here. We also live on site and are around almost all the time. There is also a hotel opposite us that offers very good bar meals. We are open all year and we are a good place to stay in the winter. A lot of our trade in the winter are climbers and folk canoeing the rivers. I am happy you enjoyed your stay

all it was really good!!!the bathroom very big, the room big and clean! There was also a sauna area... fantastic!

Only if he or she has a car.

We are in the HIghlands. When people visit the highlands do they not expect to stay in the countryside. We are 2 miles from the main train connection between Glasgow and Fort William and there are several trains/buses to Roy Bridge(2miles) a day. We are offer a pick up if we can so no it is not just for people with a car!
