The restrooms and sinks needs to be clean daily, spray solution without scrubbing is not going to work. Ru, from USA ~ 28th May 2012

A very nice hostel. Not that close to Tokyo but it´s a fast 10-minute ride by metro to most of the attractions. The only down side is that you have to pay to take a shower (100 yen/5 minutes). Breakfast free (basic) was really good and also the yakissoba! Tabata, from Brazil ~ 27th Apr 2012

Nice cosy place, with all the facilities that one could possibly hope for. Extremely friendly staff who are willing to go out of their way to help. Excellent service in all aspects. A little off in terms of location but can easily access most areas with a few train changes. Highly recommended, will stay here again! Wilson, from England ~ 14th Mar 2012

I really enjoyed my stay at this hostel. Manager Raoul is very accommodating and friendly. Place is clean (except for the heater in the room). Employees of the hostel are very helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

Aizuya is a very lovely place.Everything is great and the staff (lady) is very helpful and nice. However,in the hotel's webpage should indicate more clearly for way to walk to the hotel because it isa bit hard to find. Benjamas, from Thailand ~ 6th Jan 2012

Good inter-change from Minami Senju-Nippori for JR Line for Tokyo full day ride. Or Tokyo Metro line from Minami Senju onwards Yen710 for full day ride along the lines. Will be extremely good if the Saitama Bus is also operating- during our 9 days stay, we have not been able to board on ANY since it's all "out of service"??? Bicycle ride is extremely convenient & at breeze. Daily meal at Shimadaya is also very affordable for Malaysian Yen368~500 for a family of 3- don't need to starve. Aizuya Inn is a comfortable, affordable place to stay in Tokyo, bottom line. The rooms are adequate, and they offer a wide variety of amenities if you're willing to pay a little extra. That said, I do have some minor complaints. The showers are not free. 100Y will get you five minutes of water. The wifi is spotty. I think it only comes from one router on the ground floor, so good luck on 4f. THE DRYERS ARE AWFUL. I spent 3 cycles trying to dry a small load, and they still didn't dry! I definitely recommend this place!Staff was really friendly and very helpful!Air conditioning blasts, bedding is clean and comfy, and the atmosphere is charming throughout the hostel!Bikes can be rented for 500 yen for a 1/2 day... which is plenty of time to explore Asakusa! We rode to the temples in less than 15 mins. They offer free tea and coffee in the main area, and there's a drink machine too! 2 computers in the main area, wifi in the room, and 10 min walk to the subway!
