Alfama Patio Hostel in Prague, Portugal

This hostel is nice. The staff also. I also enjoyed so much the fresh pancakes at the breakfast ! Something wonderful is the Terrasse at the first floor, allowing to enjoy the sun from wake up untill 3pm. But a little thing has to be said : the hostel is not a recent building, so there is BAD insulation :-( ... when sb wakes up in the middle of the night it wakes up neighbours from other rooms ! Alfama was one of the best hostels I have ever stayed in. I even extended my stay there by nearly a week. The staff is fantastic. Carol is super kind, simply lovely & extremely helpful, Bobby is hilarious and very enthusiastic about his job, Isabel (name?) is a ton of fun. The food is brilliant (hard to resist paying for dinner every night). The hostel is charming, filled with personality and the Saturday night barbecue is a good excuse to have some fun on site. I am very satisfied with the hostel. Nice people, much to do, beautiful hostel incl. patio/terrace, good food! Just what you need on a Lisbon trip. Only minor are the facilities. Had a squeeky top bed and the showers were small and cold. Doris, from Netherlands ~ 11th Sep 2011

Lies in the most beautiful part of town. Breakfast is great, there are even pancakes!!! I didn't like the cleanliness of the bathrooms that much and you should know that the rooms can get a bit noisy because of the lovely tram 28 passing by...I loved the tram :o) Lena, from Germany ~ 1st Sep 2011
