A nice, small hostel.Cozy is a great word for it. I was only in Amsterdam a few days and wanted somewhere a little less party themed, and this place is great for that. If you want to meet people, however, its not the best place for that.Everything was just fine, I would stay here again, but if you are looking to socialize and have a wild time at night stay somewhere else. The staff was really friendly and so was the cat. The hostel is located within walking distance from the central station in a quiet alley. The perfect starting point if you want to explore Amsterdam. Free tea and coffee in the morning, a warm bed, clean shower and bathroom. Don't expect too much space - you are in Amsterdam and houses are generally small. Hanna, from Germany ~ 6th Nov 2011

I had a problem, and had to early check out. I was supposed to stay 3 nights, but had stayed only one and asked for my money back, since I had to pay the 3 nights at check in. This is the answer of the manager to my problem: Dear Vitor, According to our Terms and Conditions we can not refund your money or accept cancellations later than 72 hours before arrival date and certainly not after check in. The plus points to this Hostel are its great location and relitive cleanliness. However it is pretty small, there are no facilities (Bar, luggage store, breakfast etc.), the stairs are extremely steep (even for Amsterdam) which is difficult if you have lots of luggage and the walls were very thin which meant there was a lot of noise whenever anyone came in/left the building.
