I recently stayed at Anne for 4 nights and I have no complaints. The rooms are clean and they have air conditioning. Staff is friendly and helpful and most importantly they speak excellent English, so they were able to answer all the questions I had. (Thanks to them I was able to find an excellent little sushi place ) ) The location is good, right next to asakusabashi subway station. Olaf, from Finland ~ 24th May 2012

We stayed in this hostel on our last night in Tokyo before going back to London - it is very convenient for the train (Keisei line) from Asakusabashi to Narita airport, the cheapest train to the airport. It is in a quiet location not far from the station. We had a 4 person bunk room - we were travelling with our 2 daughters. The other people in the hostel were mostly backpackers. A very good hostel, very homely and I was made to feel very welcome. All the guests are well looked after, its clean and the breakfast in the morning is a great bonus in such an expensive city. LOVED IT! Helen, from England ~ 3rd Mar 2012

I am leaving a poor rating for this hostel because my stay there was the worst (and most stressful) part of my visit to Tokyo.The rooms had little space for luggage, the common room (the only part of it that had tables) closed at midnight, there were no chairs, and the rules they had posted (e.g. no “parties” or food in rooms, no “outside visitors”), while understandable, had steep fines for breaking them (10,000 yen [$120]).If I visit Tokyo again I will not stay at Anne Hostel Asakusaba Matt, from USA ~ 1st Mar 2012
