Good hostel, nice friendly staff, tops on security but i thought that the walk from the hostel to the reeperbahn area at night was a bit dodgy although that was just a feeling, never any hassle. The hostel itself was very good and the local graffiti work was cool!

I found this hostel very clean and safe with lovely helpful staff. On the social side it can be a bit quiet but that very much depends on the people that are there at the particular time (the last night was quality)

Nice place. Only a 20 euro cab ride from airport. Only a 5 minute walk to the reeperbahn. No internet or free breakfast. Do have a nice bathroom in each room. Have to use a code for the front door after hours and a code for your room door, that kinda sucks cus you have to remember 2 codes or keep the paper with you and hope you don't lose it. Has a bar which is awesome.

The beds are a bit run-down (nothing big, just some problems with the wooden structure holding the mattress) but apart that everything's fine. Location is comfortable enough, not far (5 minutes walk) from an S-bahn stop and within walking distance from the "lively" part of St. Pauli and not far from the centre. Overall a good price-quality ratio.

Hostel was a little difficult to find at first, only spent one night, the rooms are pretty small but felt safe, handy for the night life, though pub and clubs are not open Sunday and Mondays.

The hostel was very clean and the facilities were nice. Security was good with code-access rooms. Location is a bit bad, about 5-10 minutes away from the Reeperbahn, and 30 min or so from the center (by foot).
Overall a nice experience though, and cheap, so I recommend it!

I only spent one night at Backpackers St. pauli, but it was a nice place and the staff was quite helpful. It seemed as if they knew what was going on in town as well. the location was great and public transportation was only a walk away. I got handed a key for a locker that was already in use but apart from that everything was fine.

this place is going to be awesome, but the kitchen and downstairs lounge were still being finished when i was there. the staff are great, the rooms and ensuite bathrooms are very clean and have lockers, the area is the most interesting in hamburg and only a few minutes walk from the reeperbahn - but far enough away that the area is very quiet and you can get a decent nights sleep. very very good!
