The staff were courteous but had poor english. The location is great, and it is the easiest place to tell taxis where to go "beijingzhan". Don't use the shower block on the third level but venture up to the fourth floor for better cleanliness and privacy. Rooms are perfectly adequate in size and amenities. Overall, was fine to stay here - a good paint job here would do wonders though...

An ok hostel. Fairly cheap and the staff is average. Helps to be able to speak some Chinese. Used to be a good location, but for some reason the subway stop just outside has been closed down. Probably something to do with the Olympics, but a quite a disadvantage none the less.

The location is not so great eventhough it is central, because you have to walk a bit before u can find somthing to eat, which is not fastfood. And the subway dosnt work at the moment, so have to walk 10-15 min to the nearst subway st. The thing which doesnt at the place is, they cant find your booking, even if u coming with the booking no. So you have to bring the booking confirmation with you. But any compare to the price and the cleaness, its a good place to stay.

we had a nice stay in the hotel and i would also recommend the hostel despite the cleaning issue. the hostel is clean and the rooms seam to be clean but we found some hair which was not so nice. however, the location is the best!! it is quiet and in the middle of the city! go there if you are not too picky and you will have an awesome time!!

The room I was in had open electrical wires hidden on side of the bunk bed. When I went to plug in the lamp on the side of the bed post I was electrocuted! The shock was so strong my fingers were shaking and the power in the room when out. I was stuck in complete darkness without a phone, so I had to go to front desk. I waited for the 1person that spoke English. When I told her what happened she started laughing. Then said she would call house keeping. House keeping arrived, speaking no English,

as a Chinese, I was angry about the fact they treat foreigners well but Chinese people poorly.I wanted to book a bed for my friend, first they thought my friend was Chinese, so they said there was no place for her. Then when I said she is foreigner, ironically, they said yes, they have the place for her. So unfair, I can't understand, people should be treated fairly. They should think about this point.

Backpackers Club staff are great but the reception staff downstairs could have been a little friendlier. Great single rooms for the price.

I had a good experience at this hostel. It is in a perfect location for anyone that is heading out of Beijing on train. It is actually quite easy to get to all the sites from here too. The hostel itself is clean with modern rooms. There seemed to be plenty to do in the hostel with a bar, food, tv, and Internet. The staff that assisted me were very helpful.
