Blue Mountain LuWan Youth Hostel in Valencia, China

The room we stayed in didn't have a window, but we knew that going in. The worst part was that the air conditioner leaked all over the bed, and since there was no window, the room quickly started to smell like mildew. Still a good hostel for me for what I do in Shanghai. This time around was about the same-though the hostel was under some construction and the workers were smoking a lot. That was the bad part to wake up to in the morning and through the door I can smell smoke. But once the hostel is done with its renovation, it will be fine. Overall still a good hostel, good location, subway across the street and a wonderful place for noodles next door to the hostel. Victor, from USA ~ 2nd Jan 2012

I felt safe knowing that the hostel was so close to a subway stop.If you don't know any Chinese, it makes it easier for taxi drivers to find it if you're stranded.(Subways close early.) Anyone can walk into the hostel, but Shanghai's pretty safe so I didn't worry about it too much.My room was clean and I liked the hostel's cozy decor.The internet was a bit slow.There's a washer and dryer!It's easy to get to know people.I asked so many questions and the staff was nice, thank you! We stayed in family room, one double bed , one single bed with own bathroom. The hotel/ hostel is just again the subway station, with close by streets with many shops and restaurants. By subway you get anywhere in Shanghai you would need to. Jan, from Czech Republic ~ 11th Jul 2011
