Nice, clean place for budget travelers. Not fancy but great if your hotel isn't supposed to be part of the experience. Great location for visitors of Columbia University. 20-45 mins to lower Manhattan by subway, depending on destination and time of day. Andrea, from Germany ~ 24th Apr 2013

I enjoyed my stay. The bathroom are very clean with hot water. Bedrooms are very good, organized every day and with heat system. I had clean towels every day and the bed linen had good smell. Close of subway station and next to very places to eat good food. I definitely will back to Broadway hostel when I back to New York. Good internet and nice collective tv place. The location was excellent and the building is very nice! The room wasn't soundproof at all and there were a lot of clonks and clanks in the night as well as sounds from the street. Warm water in the shower was available only sporadically. The room was clean and comfortable except for the loud sounds that woke me up almost every night.
