I'm not at all exaggerating when I say this has to be one of the worst hostels in the world. Bill, the man running it, is a jerk. You never know what he's going to say, but most of the time, it's something rude, unfriendly or unhospitable. There were bed bugs, fleas and God knows what else there. I had little bites all the way down my arm the next day. I was afraid to go to sleep because I knew there were bugs. This is just a guy who wants to make money letting people stay in his house. H

Great place, larger beds than anywhere i've been. location looks a bit ruff but was fine. staff are very frendly and make sure that you know where your going as you leve. the bus stops about 20 meters from the hostle gets you right into the center of the city and back.

Bill is really nice and helpful, I felt right at home as soon as I came in this house. People are just relaxed there, even though it is true it is not the cleanest hostel in the world.

First my friend and I were really concerned about the place and the location but it turned out to be ok! Bill was nice and we could make it for the night.

Bill was very welcoming and accomodating. I felt very much at home here. Internet was free, linen and towels were free, and food was free - what more could you ask for (and at such a cheap price)?

There seem to be a few very negative reviews on this place... ignore them. Bill is a wonderful host, full of info and always happy to help. The hostel is small and intimate unlike some of the larger ones i have stayed at. Yes its 25 blocks from Capitol, but the X2 bus gets you there almost from right outside the front door. IF your coming to DC then you could do a lot worse than staying here.
Thank you Bill for a great stay.

Bill is a very nice host and we really appreciated the helpful info. he offered. Even it's a little pity that there's some construction work in front of the hostel (H St.), but you can feel like you enter a warm and quiet home when you shoot the door behhind you. I'd like to recommend this hostel to those who want to find a relaxed and unique place in DC.

This was the worst hostel I have ever seen the owner was a jerk it was to far out of downtown DC and was vary dirty I would have rather stayed at the bus stop. If your going to DC DO NOT GO HERE going here could make your trip there very unplesent I know it did for me.
