The place had mold and it was freezing cold - price included two hours of heating and there were no warm water. After the first night we had to change location, because we became ill there. The receptionist didn't believe us and didn't make easy getting our money back (for example he changed the door security code that we wouldn't get in!) We had paid five nights, got two back.
Dear Guest. There is 24 hrs hot water in the building and you have to flip a switch outside the bathroom to get hot water immediately it is impossible to run a hostel without hot water.The hostel only caters for 5hrs of heating per day in the rooms and you can adjust this yourself when needed.We changed the door code once a week for security purpose so I think you have a wrong interpretation of the staff and owner.(you should apologise it is disrespectful)Many persons have stayed in that room for weeks before and had no problems before.When you complained another room was offered to you and you declined. and staff member checked the room and could not find any mold. We do have 48hour cancellation policy the proper proceduer was used and we refunded you the money you asked for without any problems.Thank you and hope you enjoyed Dublin

We booked a room en-suite according to our booking, however the toilet was down the hall and slightly downstairs.I do not know where the en-suite managed into the description.We only used the hostel to sleep in and it served that function for us as far as I was concerned.My son spent a year in hostels in Fiji and in Melbourne and wasn't impressed compared to his experiences there.But we were there for the rugby HC semi final and I thought it fit for purpose. Personally,I'm very dissappointed with this hostel. I stayed there recently and I am not happy with the owner's welcome. As soon as my friend and I arrived, we had to go back to the hostel in two hours cause the room was not ready yet. We went back 2 hours and 45 minutes afterwards, so we thought we could go to our room. But we had to wait 15 minutes more. Everytime we needed him, we were not able to find him because he was NEVER in the reception. The kitchen and living room were lovely, thoug Angel, from Spain ~ 12th Apr 2012

None of the showers had hot water - got an ice cold trickle at best.
To all Guest,who stayed over the 10 and 11th of March,we would like to apologise for any inconvenience you may have caused during our water shortage period, when the water tanks and pumps decided to give in on a busy weekend.Thank you.

We had a twin private ensuite for almost 4 days. Plus: helpful staff comfortable beds nice little "park" around the corner for a coffee in the morning sun good bus connection to the airport Minus: dirty bathroom (mould in the shower, looked like it wasn't cleaned at all - glad i had my disinfectant spray with me!!!) and the shower head was somehow not really working it's not a real charming hostel, just for the necessities you need to walk a bit to get into the real city center - that's a Mareike, from Germany ~ 30th Oct 2011
