The hostel is in a good location. It is close to the Union and St Andrew subway stops and other attractions downtown. The building is nice. The rooms are clean and the bathrooms have nice fixtures. The kitchen/common area has a nice design. It is well maintained. The free wifi doesn't work very well in the rooms on the third floor but it does work well in the common areas. Really enjoyed this hostel. Exceeded every expectation I had for a great vacation. The hostel was well kept. It had several kitchen areas if you bring your own food you can cook with no problems. The hostel is kept up very well and the room we had was very nice. The best area Clarence Castle excelled in was customer service. The staff was really nice and welcoming. The were able to help us with directions around the city and always greeted you with a smile. Price was beat most hotels in the area frank, from USA ~ 29th Apr 2012

The Clarence Castle is a very good hostel to stay. It is very clean with modern facilities and furnitures. The bathroom are super clean and has free wifi across the building. The rooms are also quite large. The location is near downtown Toronto, and has many wonderful shops to visit. Overall, I would recommend this hotel. Roy, from USA ~ 23rd Mar 2012

I had a very pleasant stay from the moment I stepped at the door to the moment I left. Excellent location, the staff is always happy to see you and willing to help, everything is clean, the price is great, and I was lucky enough to get a room upgrade with no extra charge because of the season. Plenty of activities to do around to get to know the city, and advice if you want to explore by yourself. Movie night, Wii night and Pub night every week! What else do you need?
