As far as location goes, this place cannot be beat. It is super central. But that is the best of it. The beds are lousy and sag deeply in the middle. The shower had barely any pressure at all and the drain was clogged so the shower flooded. The staff is friendly enough, but I cannot say that I really got a good night's sleep.

The staff here were fantastic and really helpful. They were the friendliest people I have met so far in my travels. As soon as I arrived they showed me all the cool places that I should visit and were delighted to give advice on anything! I rate this as my favourite hostel in Italy!!!

The man who checked us in and showed us to our room said very little to us. he was not friendly at all. he was also not too sure about where we would be staying. he had to check another room to see if there was free beds there, and by doing this he woke up the people in that room. its a very basic hostel, but you get what you pay for. its also very hot, no air condition, and someone plays music on the street from 5.30 AM onwards!

The David Inn was so much fun! The staff is friendly and helpful and always willing to show you around and engage in conversation. The rooms are clean and spacious, and although there is only one bathroom, there was never any trouble using it and I never had to wait. It is literally in the best spot in Florence, right next to the David and the duomo. The incredible staff - Dani and Julie - made our stay in Florence unforgettable! The David Inn is incredible!

Just want to say a big thank you to everyone at David Inn (especially Julie). All the staff were very helpful and fun, which made my time in Florence better than could have been expected.
Thanks again!!

Good location in the city center, but the worst hostel I've ever seen. The building smells like mold. You get a small room with hospital beds and nothing else. Everything is dirty or worse: broken.

There is not really much of a common room, and one (rather poor) bathroom for the use of all guests. While there is no curfew, you have to remain quiet since it is located in an apartment building with older, light-sleeping neighbors. There are much better places to stay in Florence.

The directions are a bit hard to follow... also, beware that the numbers on the street that you should look for are the big, tile numbers (not the small, dun-colored numbers). It's quite a bit down Via Ricasoli. No locks. Very hot in the summer. Pretty building!
