There was no hot water around 10pm at that night.The toilet and bathroom were not clean enough and there was no place to put the clothes or other things in the bathroom, only a hook. There was also no enough socket for at least everyone in the same room to have one to recharge electronic devices. You need to pay extra fee to storage the luggages in the reception when you have ckecked out. The only advantage is the location and free wifi in the rorom. YUAN-PENG, from Taiwan ~ 10th Apr 2012

I spent three nights here total, one in a large, all-female dorm, the other two in a private room. The bathrooms, while small and a bit old, they seemed perfectly clean to me when I used them. The staff were fine, though all of the staff I spoke to were Australian, and based on the name of the attached cafe (the Southern Cross), I suspect the hostel is entirely Australian-run. I know when you are in a huge room, sharing with a lot of people, it's difficult getting peacefully ambient. But I think that, if someone is drank, the people from the hostel should do something so that the drank person doen's disturb the rest at 3 in the morning shouting very loudly like if there was no one else in the room. I expected the twin room to have 2 separated beds, but we had bunk beds in the room. Our room was in a diferent building 10m from the hostel.room was simple and ok and we had to sharethe bathoorm with another room. Only found issues on secondary things: tricky pool table with the coins and no usb on the public computer. The possibility of buying soap or little gel bags would be nice, since buying those things for a couple of days and with no chance of bringing them by plane. Julian, from Spain ~ 25th Nov 2011

Accommodation was in separate building to lounges & laundry, etc. Rooms were very small but clean & tidy. Funky smell in entrance to accom probably from the filthy alley that the enterance is off. Staff were lovely & discount breakfast in the cafe is good. Margaret, from Australia ~ 5th Nov 2011
