Staying in Fattoria Basetto was special. I had just been touring fast-paced cities in Italy prior to coming out to the Tuscan countryside. A serene, peaceful get-away was in order. And Fattoria Basetto delivered. But a get-away is not all it offers, to be sure. Many people at the hostel used it as a home-base to tour the surrounding hill towns. The place oozes charm everything from the actual building itself to the surroundings. There is a pool, plenty of places to relax, two hammocks, and a Joseph, from USA ~ 16th Jun 2011

I would recommend this place to anyone that is looking to relax in the country for a couple days.The local town is very friendly and there are bikes available to get to and from.The walk isn't horrible either. The only issue I had with the place was I could have used some lockers for security of valuables, but it wasn't an issue when I was there since we had a friendly crowd. I would recommend trying to get there when they can shuttle you to the hostel so that you don't have to walk. Royce, from USA ~ 15th Nov 2011

The place and people are amazing, but dogs barking throughout the night were a little difficult to contend with. But we would stay another 5 days as it is a relaxed home away from home. Lee, from Australia ~ 16th Aug 2011
