Geko Hostel & Pousada Paraty in Buenos Aires, Brazil

This hostel was a mixed experience - some things were good, others not so much. On the good side, they offer a free transport from the bus station and they have a good breakfast. The location is nice, right on the beach and a 5-10 minute walk into town. It's a nice beach to walk on, but for spending the day, there are much nicer beaches in the area (go to Trinidade). They have many events organized for people (dance lessons, food nights, etc...) On the minus side, the rooms smelled musty, the b Ana, from USA ~ 26th Nov 2011

Very low budget hostel. On my first they had overbooked our room, so that one guest had to sleep on the floor. Located nicely on the beach (the water is not so nice though, but the view is fine). It's possible to go on trips that you can book in the hostel. Good food on the beach in the evening arranged by the hostel. The free taxi from the bus station is only fre if you stay several days.
