The hostel is like a student dorm. The room was clean, the staff was nice. Try to avoid rooms next to the toilets (thin walls and therefore very loud). Daniel, from Hungary ~ 14th May 2012

We were very dissapointed when we got there to find the "free internet" advertised is only for 3 websites, all hostel sites, or for 1 hour on your laptop. The atmosphere is fine but it seems like they are really catering to a party crowd and most people there were families and older people. The breakfast and cafe are cheap and the room was clean. A little expensive, but I guess for downtown London it was not to bad. Def a party hostel. I stayed there with my girlfriend in a private room. the travel desk is a great touch. more hostels need that. Def helped us grab tickets to a play and how to get to StoneHedge...Honestly it was a great hostel compared to the rest i've been in my life. Read Owner Comments Jesse, from USA ~ 18th Apr 2012

The hostel was fine and the cleanliness was OK except for the toilets which often were clogged. Also there was no security locker in the twin share room. Otherwise the stay at Generator Hostel was very pleasant and the location is excellent! Anna, from Sweden ~ 12th Oct 2011

Main problem is lack of kitchen facilities to prepare your own food. Also there were some problems with some of the toilets not flushing properly, causing a very bad smell. Some of the washing machines were broken for the whole two weeks I was there causing queues. The wifi, although free, wasnt always reliable and sometimes very slow.
