Be careful, hostel.com don't tell you that you have to pay more if you are not a member of H.I. and also, the prices are without taxes! So I was thinking it was cheap, but actually, I paid around 40 dollars a night. That's not that bad, but that's more than I was expected!Otherwise, the hostel is really good, clean, safe and friendly. :) Justine, from France ~ 11th May 2012

AMAZING!!! I was by myself, young NZ girl. I met lots of nice chicks from my room (went on a tour with 1 even. The staff are amazing VERY friendly, funny and willing to help out. Great hostel, very centrally located in Santa Monica. I definitely recommend it if you are trying to enjoy California on a budget, as I was. hospitality was great, all the guests were so friendly, breakfast was better than in other hostels, location is just awesome, 2min to the pier and to 3rd street promenade, rooms small but comfortable, bathrooms very clean, cleaning staff was there every day, not too loud, you have your privacy, the information desk in the lobby was so helpful with public transportation and fun stuff to do, we just had a great time at that hostel/on this holiday Mona, from Germany ~ 28th Mar 2012
