Well we only stayed there one night.. and that was fine. I don't think i could have handled much more. The rooms are tiny, you are packed in like sardines. The floor is so dusty.. if you wear bare feet they will be black in 2 minutes. The staff are very friendly though, and helpful which is always a plus. It don't think the location is the finest halifax has to offer. If you are spending more time in Halifax i would look elsewhere, but a couple of nights is bearable. The location was all right, everything was within walking distance. The staff was friendly. Basically the hostel was clean but it could have been cleaner. For a short-term-stay the room and bed was ok, but there was a mouse in my room so I did not feel very comfortable! Summary: If you're looking for a cheap hostel for only a few nights it's ok! This is a wonderful place. This is my first time experiencing backpacker's mix dorm in my life. The service, staff, kitchen are all wonderful. I stay here because I need a temporary place for a short stay before I find an apartment in Halifax. Affordable and comfortable. Backpackers are all nice and helpful to each other. There are public computers, laundary, full kitchen, bar, BBQ, trip recommendations and close to transportation and YMCA employment center where newcomers could use free fax, em QING HUA, from China ~ 3rd Sep 2011
