It would be good if they did more tosecure that it is quiet at night, when people at sleeping. Now they let people stay talking and screaming on the corridor till one of the guest ask if they could do something about it. Guiselaine, from Netherlands ~ 29th Oct 2012

This hostel felt more like a budget hotel really, which was great for us as it was good value for money.We had an ensuite twin and the room was cosy, esp the bathroom, but more than adequate.Good location, 2 minute walk to the marina and bars, and also a 24 hour reception which was very handy when we had a 6am flight!Staff we friendly and booked us a cab, even at 4.30 in the morning!! We did really enjoy our stay at hospedaria sao filipe. Place is centraly located, very close to the bus and train station. Our room small but always clean and tidy. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Magdalena, from Poland ~ 15th Apr 2011
