when i first saw the rewiews it was a big set back but when we arrived they changed bed sheets and toilets and kitchen were totally clean. it is in a little bit dangerous neigboorhood but no problem if you dont go out alone at night. i really enjoyed my stay , nice staff nice atmosphere, good value for money ayse naz, from Turkey ~ 17th Mar 2013

the hostel was being run by two young german girls and they were fantastico!!! the atmosphere was chilled and the mix of people there added to the relaxed attitude, and nothing was to difficult for the staff, very friendly,very efficient very GOOD!!! if i was to go back to Val i would definately go back there and i have recommended this to other travellers. david, from Scotland ~ 24th Sep 2012
