I definitely will go back. The hostel in the old town, food shop - just around the corner, rooms are clean and nice, each floor have a shower, toilet and small kitchen area to make a sandwich or a cup of tee. The staff was very friendly. Goda, from Lithuania ~ 1st Nov 2011

We stayed at Hostel Dioklecijan for seven days and were very happy with it. The location was great, close to lots of shops and the main boulevard. Staff was very friendly and helpful and the twin room as well as the common areas (toilet, kitchen) were nice and clean. Vilma, from Finland ~ 4th Sep 2011

First, the owner of the hotel made us pay with a false exchange rate telling us if we didn't want we could go and find another room (she knew it wasn't possible). Next the room wasn't in the hotel but 15 minutes from the center of split (contrary to what she said). When we tried to speak with her she only said same thing, that we could search another hostel. It was a good spot.Great location and very roomy. If you are looking for a place to crash you will love it.Nice cool A/c, clean etc. If you are picky it isn't for you.Like others said (paper on window)...so you cant see the clutter in courtyard, etc.Picture your college apartment right before parents weekend when you clean the heck out of it.Clean, cool but a little ghetto. Overall it is fine though. One of the beds was a sleeper sofa...I am picky about beds and it was super comfortable. steven, from USA ~ 1st Aug 2011
