Hostel Moneda in La Pedrera, Mexico

I booked a private room for 5 nights at Moneda. The room was nothing fancy, if a bit dirty, but it served my purposes. I only used the hostel to sleep and use the computers. The staff was super friendly to me and accommodating when I needed something from them. There is a bar on the roof where they have parties on the weekends. I popped in to one of them but it was uninteresting. It was all local guys there, seemingly to pick up traveler girls. I could be wrong but that was the impression I Joel, from USA ~ 17th Nov 2011

The worst hostel i have stayed at in Mexico in 4 months of traveling. The sheets were stained, smelly, and covered in hair, obviously because they had not been washed. the shower was clogged with hair and so it was backed up almost immediately, and there was no shower curtain. the front desk staff was ok, but the bartender was as likely to be at the bar as not, and the drinks were very overpriced. hostel was very cheap, staff was very nice. The rooms were kinda bare, and they weren't soundproof at all. very noisy. was very near the center of the city(100m). first room they gave me had a broken wondow and I couldn't sleep because of the noise outside so they gave me another bigger room. that was nice of them.
